Strawberry & peanut butter smoothie

Don’t you love it when your children help with the housework? Perfect little angels. This week, Boop somehow – and don’t ask me how – managed to bring in a giant dead spider on her arse. Then dropped it on the baby’s lovingly handmade playmat.

Baby, on the other hand, enjoys helping with the tumbledryer, which he regards as the white goods equivalent of Marcellus Wallace’s briefcase.

Both Baby and Boop have an impressive spatter range when it comes to food. I used to work cleaning student halls and fifteen students a block were nothing compared to these two.

In yet another attempt to consume something other than Costa brownies in the morning, I occasionally manage a smoothie. The strawberries at the moment are great so go mad.

TIME 5 minutes

SERVES 1

INGREDIENTS

1 banana

10-15 strawberries, hulled

1 tablespoon of peanut butter (I like crunchy, but whatever floats your boat)

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

1 cup of yoghurt (dairy or non-dairy)

1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)

RECIPE

Blend.
